KYOTO SUMMER PROGRAM

Type 2. Other Universities-Apply as Individual Participants

The program will accept up to 10 students in total from our partner universities worldwide.
We encourage applications from students of all majors, as we value diversity in academic backgrounds. If a significant number of highly qualified students apply, we may increase the number of participants beyond the initial limit of 10 students.

Procedure

1. Selection of the sub program

Please choose your sub program first. Once you choose it, you cannot change.

–ILAS–
English is the main instruction language.

–KUASU–
Japanese is the main instruction language. 

2. Prior Confirmation

Please submit the google form.
Deadline: Japan Standard Time (JST) 12:00pm (noon), April 21, 2025.

3. Online Application (For Eligible Applicants)

Application should be done through an online application system.
Please proceed to the online application. The URL for the online application system will be displayed on the final page of the prior confirmation form.
Once you receive the URL, please read through the “Call for Application” carefully, and complete the application according to the instructions.
You need one recommender in your university.
Deadline: JST 12:00pm (noon), May 5, 2025

4. Selection

Upon necessity, selection will be made by the Program office. Students will be notified of the selection results by JST May 9, 2025.

5. Payment

We send the selected applicants the details of the payment procedure.
Deadline: 12:00pm (noon), May 23, 2025

6. Final Acceptance

Final notification of acceptance into the program will be sent after confirmation of the payment of the program tuition fee.

Program Fees
JPY 53,000

Note
The program fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
If the payment is not received to Kyoto University by the deadline, applicants will not be allowed to participate in the program.

Accommodation

All participants are required to stay at the designated accommodation facility throughout the program period. Reservations will be made by Kyoto U.
Please note that rooms will be shared with other participants based on gender information on the passport (3-5 students per room).
