The Handbook of Liberal Arts and Sciences Courses explains that the general rule of the registration of Intermediate Chinese is to select one [Grammar, Cross-cultural understanding] class and one [Conversation with native instructor] class in a semester. Should I necessarily earn the credits for both classes?
It is desirable to register one [Grammar, Cross-cultural understanding] class and one [Conversation with native instructor] class in a semester, however, the pre-registration and application on a first-come, first-served basis cannot assure a student that they always register a pair of the grammar and conversation classes. Therefore, only you have to earn equal or more credits than the graduation requirement and it does not matter how many credits you earn from Intermediate Chinese As and Bs as well as from [Grammar, Cross-cultural understanding] classes and [Conversation with native instructor] classes.
