Institute for the Promotion of Excellence in Higher Education has been considering how university-wide cooperation could be achieved in liberal arts and sciences programs based on the report by the Committee for Planning, "Concerning the way part-time Lecturers should be after FY2006" (approved at Deans and Directors Meeting on March 25th 2005).
This report is a summary of the investigations and examinations conducted by various working groups set up under the Liberal Arts and Sciences System Committee. Those liberal arts and sciences courses investigated were divided into 2 groups, Group A (humanities and social science) and Group B (natural science) depending on their roles and characteristics.
