.
Can I register more than two courses on the same day/period?
No. You can only register for one course on one day/period. As an exception, exercise classes of a pair of Calculus with Exercise and Linear Algebra with Exercise designated to a class are offered in a single timeslot, however, you can register the pair of classes.
-
2006
.
Calculus with Exercises and Linear Algebra with exercises are partially offered on the same day and period and how should I register for these courses?
Both Calculus with Exercises and Linear Algebra with Exercises consist of lecture per week and exercise class every other week, and at the overlapped period, exercise classes of calculus and linear algebra are alternately offered by week.
A pair of Calculus with Exercises and Linear Algebra with Exercises allotted to a class (e.g. Class 1, Faculty of Science) can be registered regardless of their overlap. It is an exemption of no multiple registrations in a single time slot. -
2007
.
A class of Calculus with Exercise course is placed in the "other" section instead of in the timetable. Does it matter?
Exercise classes of Calculus and Linear Algebra that fall under the same day/period are conducted alternately every week. For technical reasons, if two or more courses on the same day/period in the timetable on KULASIS, the class registration cannot be finalized. So for convenience, in order for students to be able to take both the courses which are allotted to the same class, one of the exercises is moved to the "other" section. Hence, students can finalize the class registration as initially registered.

.
I found a couple of the class designated courses were set initially in a time slot of the class registration timetable. Which course should I take?
Go to Information・Class support page on KULASIS and go to "Student affairs and welfare information (Liberal Arts and General Education Courses)” section and then, you can find the post of "【重要】「クラス指定科目」の履修について"
According to the designated English class (you can find this information on the "registration information" page on KULASIS) or your department, the course which you should take is determined. Check them and register for the designated course. -
2009
.
(For 1st year undergrads) Because a course I want to take overlaps with the day/period of my class designated course or an allotted language course, can I change my course to another day/period’s course?
For 1st year undergrads, changing a class designated course to take an elective course is in principle not allowed (except for a class designated course offered as well as a selective course). However, students may be allowed to make such a course change if course conflicts occur between class designated courses and non-designated foreign languages (Russian, Italian, Korean, Arabic(*1), Japanese), French I (8 hours course), and German I (6hours course). In this case, you may need to follow a special procedure. Please consult with the ILAS Student Desk. Note that some courses restrict the number of enrollments.
* Register to an assigned class in your own faculty for "Mathematical Description of Natural Phenomena" offered at the Faculty of Engineering.
* Register to assigned "Basic Physical Chemistry (quantum theory /thermodynamics)", "Basic organic chemistry I/II" offered at the Chemical Science and Technology department in Faculty of Engineering, if you belong to the department.
* If you belong to the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department in the Faculty of Engineering, it is not accepted to register “Basic Informatics” and “Basic Informatics practice” offered to other than your department.
*1 For AY2024, Primary Arabic is designated to 1st-year undergraduates students. -

-

You do not need a special registration to take such a course. However, also note that some courses limit the number of enrollments. -
2016

English Reading and Writing-Listening classes are only for 1st year undergraduate students. 2nd year or higher undergraduate students who have not earned credits of English Reading, English Writing-Listening A and B need to pre-register a course for students who haven't earned credits. If you are a first learner, pre-registration is required to take German, French, Chinese, and Spanish classes designated for 1st year undergraduate students.
