"International Collaborative Workshop –Unveiling the Charm and Challenges of Kyoto’s Traditional Industries"
To All Kyoto University Regular Students and International Students,
The Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences, Education Center for Japanese Language and Culture is pleased to host the "International Collaborative Workshop –Unveiling the Charm and Challenges of Kyoto’s Traditional Industries" .
This workshop aims to bring together students from Kyoto University, international students at Kyoto University, and pupils from Hiyoshi Elementary School in Miyazu City to collaboratively learn about and propose solutions for the challenges faced by the Kurotani Washi industry, a Kyoto Prefecture-designated intangible cultural heritage with a proud history and tradition spanning approximately 800 years.
With the cooperation of the practitioners of the Kurotani Washi industry, the workshop seeks to address societal challenges by transcending barriers of language, nationality, and age. Through these activities, participants will cultivate a global mindset.
We are seeking young next-generation global leaders eager to actively develop their global competencies.
