By solving Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) practice problems accompanied by detailed explanations, students will aim to acquire and solidify basic grammar, vocabulary, and expressions, through interactive exercises of weekly learnt material.

Through exercises in Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha), this course aims to master and solidify basic grammar and solidify the foundations of all four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing).
Students will review previously learned grammar while studying basic vocabulary, expressions, and expressions.

・Evaluation is on a 100-point scale, and credits will be awarded for a score of 60 or above.

Active class participation, preparation, review, and assignment completion (20%)

Quizzes (scheduled twice per semester, 20%) and final exam (60%)

・Unless there is a special reason, students who miss four or more classes will be deemed to have failed.

As preparation, read through the material you plan to study that day in advance, look up the meanings of any new vocabulary, and solve the practice problems in the designated sections. Also, be sure to have any questions or concerns ready.
We will also be posting reference materials and model answers on LMS from time to time, so please use them to help you review.

As it is difficult to provide adequate instruction if there are a large number of students enrolled, the number of students per class is limited to 45.
Please feel free to ask questions during or after class if you have any questions.

Through exercises in Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha), this course aims to master and solidify basic grammar and solidify the foundations of all four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing).
Students will review previously learned grammar while studying basic vocabulary, expressions, and expressions.
Students will also gain a basic understanding of the culture, society, and history of Arabic-speaking regions.

In the second semester, students will:
- Deepen their understanding of basic grammar by solving practice problems based on the grammar points learned in grammar class.
- Become familiar with verb conjugations, including derivations and irregular verbs, and become able to independently look up base forms and roots.
- Acquire basic skills in using Arabic dictionaries (including online and smartphone apps).
- Master the basics of using online tools such as Google Translate, DeepL, and Reverso.
- Acquire a basic understanding of the language, culture, society, and history of Arabic-speaking regions.

This course is integrated with grammar classes. Through practice questions, students will solidify their foundations in the four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing).
